Autonomous Security Platform

Security drone-in-a-box built for offline-first operations.

Nestua combines live video, maps, missions, geofencing, edge AI, and audit-ready control in one local-first platform. No cloud dependency.

Offline-First Cloud Optional Edge AI Audit-Ready EU & US Components

Cloud-only security creates risk.
A drone alone is not a platform.

The Problem

Cloud dependency is a liability for critical sites.

Most drone and video security products push users toward always-on cloud. That creates real operational risk.

  • Privacy and data sovereignty concerns
  • Downtime risk from connectivity loss
  • Vendor lock-in and compliance friction
  • No policy control over remote access
  • Camera drones without platform capabilities
The Nestua Approach

Run locally first. Enable cloud only when policy allows.

Nestua runs the full control plane on edge hardware. Remote features are opt-in, governed, and auditable.

  • Full operation without internet connection
  • Cloud extends, never replaces, local control
  • Remote access disabled by default
  • RBAC, policies, and audit logging built in
  • Complete security platform, not just a camera drone

Built on five pillars.

Local-First Control

The system works on-site without cloud. Edge hardware runs the full control plane locally.

Cloud Is Optional

Remote view, storage, fleet management, and analytics are opt-in extensions, not dependencies.

Security-Grade Governance

RBAC, approval workflows, audit logs, and policy-based controls for enterprise deployment.

Edge AI

YOLO-based detection runs locally for person and vehicle events without cloud dependency.

Audit-Ready Ops

Every critical action is logged. Event journal, command log, and config change tracking.

Three layers. One platform.

From drone to edge node to optional cloud — each layer operates independently.

1

Drone Layer

ArduPilot-based drone streams telemetry and video via MAVLink over UDP through Nestua's communication gateway.

2

Local Edge Node

On-site hardware runs the full platform: live video, maps, missions, AI detection, command control, and audit logs.

Edge Computing
3

Optional Cloud

When enabled, extends with remote view, remote control under policy, video storage, analytics, and fleet management.

Opt-In Only

Everything security teams need. On site.

More than a drone. A complete local-first security operations platform.

Live Telemetry + Map

Real-time MAVLink telemetry, live map, track history, and status indicators. Always know where the drone is.

Real-Time

Flight Operations

Takeoff, land, goto, RTL with safety guardrails. Acknowledgements and command audit trail for every action.

Command + Control

Missions + Geofencing

Plan patrol routes, upload waypoints, define no-fly zones. Policy enforcement with block or RTL logic.

Autonomous Patrol

Live Video

Browser-friendly live video via MPEG-TS converted to HLS/LL-HLS. Target latency 2-5 seconds. No plugins required.

HLS Streaming

Edge AI Events

YOLO-based person and vehicle detection on edge hardware. Event feed with thresholds, cooldowns, and action mapping.

Computer Vision

Audit + Observability

Event journal, command log, config change tracking, system health page. Every critical action is reviewable.

Compliance

Remote Operations

Enable remote access only when needed. Local-only, remote-view, or remote-control modes with re-authentication and policy checks.

Policy-Governed

EU & US Supply Chain

Every critical component sourced from European and American manufacturers. Full supply chain transparency.

Trusted Hardware

Weatherproof Base Station

IP65-rated hub with robotic battery swap for continuous patrol. Designed for year-round unattended outdoor deployment.

Zero Downtime

Security is not a feature. It's the architecture.

Remote control is off by default. Every action is governed and logged.

Remote Control Disabled by Default

Remote features require explicit admin activation with re-authentication. No silent remote access.

Policy-Governed Access

Confirmation mode, emergency-only mode, time windows, and drone state restrictions control what remote operators can do.

Role-Based Permissions

Admin, operator, and viewer roles with least-privilege defaults. Critical actions require appropriate authorization.

Full Audit Trail

Every command, config change, and control event is logged. Exportable event journal for compliance review.

Deploy where security matters most.

Designed for sites where cloud dependency is a risk, not a convenience.

Warehouses & Logistics

Perimeter patrol, night operations, and event verification. Fewer blind spots than static cameras alone.

Industrial & Construction

Large outdoor perimeters with changing layouts. Mission-based patrol routes and controlled response workflows.

Energy Sites

Wide-area coverage for solar and wind farms. Low cloud dependency, ideal for remote or bandwidth-sensitive locations.

Critical Infrastructure

Local-first operation with controlled remote access. Stronger audit trail and policy controls for sensitive facilities.

Common questions.

Does Nestua require cloud to operate?
No. The core platform is designed to run locally first on edge hardware. Cloud is an optional extension for remote access, storage, and fleet management.
Can remote access be disabled?
Yes. Remote features are optional and disabled by default. Enabling remote control requires admin re-authentication and is governed by configurable policies.
What does the AI detect?
The edge AI worker uses YOLO-based detection focused on person and vehicle classes. Detection runs locally on edge hardware with no cloud dependency.
What flight controls are available?
Takeoff, land, goto, RTL, mission planning, and geofencing. All commands include acknowledgement and are logged in the audit trail.
How is video delivered to the browser?
The drone streams MPEG-TS video which is converted into HLS/LL-HLS for browser playback on the edge node. Target live latency is approximately 2-5 seconds.
Who can control the system?
Roles include admin, operator, and viewer, with policy checks for critical actions. Remote control is subject to additional policy governance including confirmation modes and time windows.
